A street co-naming ceremony and fair will be held on Crescent Ave at Arthur Ave in honor of Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu, Albanian Commander during the 15th Century, and to Celebrate Albanian Culture with a Festive Fair. The event will celebrate the neighborhood’s Albanian History, and connections with the Italian American community. The fair will feature Gruppo Folk Shqiponjat, an Arbereshe group of musicians and dancers in traditional clothing from Calabria, Italy, as well as Albanian food, activities for children, and much more. The street co-naming ceremony will take place at 2pm on the corner of Crescent Ave and Adams Pl.
